There was a book written about this kind of thing. This guys son was failing school, so the father let his son drop out of school as long as he watch 3 movies with him a week, whether it be at home or at the theater. Then they would sit and discuss the movies and critique them after they finished.

I think the kid wound up becoming a successful movie critique-er for some big paper or something like that. I don't quite remember.

Good luck with your goal! I wish I had that kind of time!

If all you ever observed was greatness, how would you recognize it?
Watching bad films puts the good ones into perspective.
Not to mention they have some unintentionally hilarious lines. Summer blockbusters can be quite intellectually stimulating if you take the time to find every possible aspect of the film to ridicule in elaborate and creative ways.

What!? How can you say that movie is "bad"? It's film-making at its epicly greatest! :)

I think you used to be able to legally watch it online for free.

The trick is to order a 50/100 movie pack from amazon. Most of the stuff no one you know will have seen, but there are some good beans in the barrel. Just organize a playlist. Also most of the movies are TV movies or double feature flicks that only sum up to about 60 minutes. Buy a pack with interesting titles, for 15 $ you can't be disappointed.
