If you are using a DSLR camera, like a Nikon you should see if you can get software that allows to to capture frames from the computer, sadly Nikon feels like they have to charge for software that Canon gives away for free, but you might consider getting a remote for your Nikon so you don't have to physicly touch the camera to take a frame.
