Very intriguing and promising start to the series. You succeeded in making it feel epic and large scale.

The acting was overall convincing and well done, with a well written script to go with it. Making a special effects heavy brickfilm is rarely pulled off as well as this, where the green screen and VFX blend with what's actually there really well, and it's one of those elements that can really make or break a film like this for me. I am happy to say that you really managed to pull off the effects very well.

I agree with Backyardlegos comment, in that the animation is something you need to work on. It's something I used to do for a while before I focused on easing in and out, and that's making every movement very smooth and slow. It messes with the pace of the film and makes it feel like it is way longer than it is. You need to work on easing in and out and sometimes make bigger movements. There is also a balance when it comes to dialogue scenes of not moving the figures at all and moving then too much, and I think you suffer from the latter. Sometimes, it's okay to have half a second when the figure doesn't have to move. It's hard to replicate the tiniest movements people make, that they can do more of in CG and in some cases, hand drawn animation, as Lego is more restrictive in the way minifigures move, because they are blocky.

The sound was level for the most part, except for the opening narration, which was a little too quiet over the music, but aside from that I didn't have any problems with the sound. The use of sounds effects was good and helped add the realistic tone of the film.

The use of non-Lego elements, like the clay and the bore was also an interesting and creative touch.

There actually was a higher level of violence than what I expected from a mild violence warning, so I would suggest changing that to at least 'moderate'.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing where the story goes

This is very impressive. I finally got around to watching this. The animation matched up with the dialogue quite well. Greg Tull's voice for Beren was a very good choice. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of blood. I guess that's just me, it was a little disturbing for me. Great job! Hope I won't have to wait another two years for the next chapter.

I must commend you on your ambition and commitment to this project, it's very impressive. It's nice to see someone doing something a bit more original with the realistic set aesthetic. The story is engaging, and the technical stuff, lighting etc. is very nice. I will say that the pacing of the animation could use some work, especially in the action sequences. Many of the hits, the swords specifically but some of the arrows as well, don't have nearly enough weight behind them. I think your facing a challenge that a lot of brickfilmers have with animation, which is that more frames to a movement doesn't always make that movement look better. You shouldn't be afraid to use fewer frames for a movement if that movement needs to be quick. Instead of lots of frames, use easing to make the movement feel fluid. Overall this is a really impressive piece of work, it's always a treat when a brickfilm of a larger scope is released, nice job! :D
