In some editing programs (and even a few frame capture programs) there is a feature called Noise Removal where you can get rid of grain in low light situations. Lighting the set normally and turning down the exposure or upping the shutter doesn't always give the best results. It usually looks more realistic to light it like it really is at night, i.e. a distant/ambient lamp covered in blue cellophane along with a few street lights. The noise removal feature can be used in both your situation and the one I described.

I'm animating a dark scene for my next "Dark Dramatic" brickfilm. I hear you must light the set very brightly and then trun the exposure and grain down, but, when I do that, it always comes out too dark and there is this flickery line that keeps flickering across the screen, < This has been my worst problem, I don't know how to get rid of that, I'll try to get up a screen shot soon showing what it looks like, if this has happened to anyone else please tell me. And if there is another method to get good quality dark lighting with the Quick cam 9000 that would help. Please help me or I'll have to cancel this too like my new year film, and that will let down all my voice actors, especially Doyle Productions, he sent lines and got a part for both films.

So please, I'd like some help on this. :)
