a tip: When I place an order from bricklink, I also think of other pieces I like/ will need and see if the same seller has those parts, so I can pay one flat shipping rate! I look for doors and Friends colors, for instance, so will always check them "by parts" and "by color" when shopping. Another tip: Lego Digital Designer displays the official part number when a part is clicked. YOu can search that part number when you don't know where to find the part you seek.

If you know the total price for either option, then I would go for the cheapest, as unless I'm mistaken, I imagine you could probably do some other work on your entry before doing the stuff with the ring? I wish I could give you some of mine, as I bought most of the LOTR sets, so I have quite a lot of them!

IMO, E-bay is generally only better for buying customs and lots of bulk pieces/sets. I usually stick with bricklink when buying, however, as it's usually a bit more reliable in my experience.

Although, you may want to check out the Lego pick-a-brick online. With a part like that, you may just be able to order through them directly. Haven't checked myself, but, it's worth looking into.

So, basically, I've never before made an order on Bricklink, and am considering buying a Lego LOTR ring, as I will need it for my Spirit of Adventure entry. A UK seller is selling one for the price of £00.15p, but with the postage, ends up being similar in price to some on ebay. Seeing as I will need this ring soon, as I want to get started with my Spirit of Adventure entry, which route am I best taking? Should I go ahead and buy from Bricklink, or go on ebay? I only ask, as I can't seem to find any estimate as to how long a delivery generally takes on Bricklink.
