Looks great!!! Can't wait for it! The lighting in these production shots looks fantastic! :D
Thanks, glad you guys like the look of the frames!

Haven't updated this in a while, so I figure I probably should. Basically, I recently switched over to a DSLR camera (Canon SL1) and after a lot of thought decided it was best to scrap what footage I had already taken and start over with the new camera. While disappointing, I want this film to be the best it can be, so hopefully my choice is understandable. Thus, while by no means dead, this project is more or less on hold for the time being while I work on a few shorter brickfilm projects to help familiarize myself with the new equipment and software. I'll be sure to update this topic again once production is resumed. Until then, keep an eye out for shorter brickfilm releases of mine.

Thank you all for the interest in this project and support. I do hope to get back on it soon. ;)

Still making progress. I finally decided to take a break from animating on the cramped indoor sets and have been filming some (hopefully) dramatic outdoor ones. Here's a frame!
That camera rig is excellent. My only concern is that the rotating piece would be too loose, and cause problems if you were to bump it..?
Since I didn't need to rotate the camera in any of the shots, I actually used some sticky tack to secure the camera to the rig and keep it from rotating. The little 2x2 turntable is there to help attach the brick-built camera mount to the rig and ensure that the camera is nice and level, but the tack is really doing all the work. Without the tack, just the weight of the camera's cord alone would likely cause problems. ;)

UPDATES!

I've been making some progress with animation as of late. First off, a shot of another set I just built:

That's not all, however. I just recently uploaded a short, partially finished preview clip to my youtube channel. Please note that I have yet to add sound effects, as well as do color correction. Please feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! You can view the clip at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dFg0TQop8w

Hey, Brickcrazy,

First off, these scenes look absolutely epic. Science-fiction is my favorite of everything, and I really love your style here, the characters, sets, colors, and lighting.

I just posted a topic in the Equipment and Software forum, and I was wondering if you could take a look at question number two and see if you have anything to say on the subject, because the frames I see here are mainly the ones I had in mind when making that post.
