The best tip I can give is to write what you want to make. If you have a cool story (it doesn't have to be fictional) and want to tell it, turn it into a film. If you have a statement or moral you want to make known, make a film about it. Just do what you love.

As for the actual writing itself, just try to make things fairly realistic. No, I don't mean you have to follow gravity, you can't have laser guns, or anything like that, what I mean is to speak out the dialogue and see if it sounds natural. Make the scenarios believable (for example, don't make an evil space villain drop his gun and not try to defend himself further).

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone! I also agree to AnW, that it's important to get a variety in the framing of shots in a scene.

Hey! Really nice. I don't really have any critiques on the shots in the video per se... but I have one thought at least.

All of the shots have a sort of medium tight framing with the frame covering the subject from approximately mid-leg to top of head (or there about). I understand how it is often easy to get into framing everything like that in Lego stopmotion, given the huge cameras on small sets, so I just want to say that you shouldn't be afraid of trying to frame the shots a little closer in or out occasionally. It can break up what may turn visually monotonous.

I really liked pretty much everything else. You said you wanted to get better at lighting, animation, and editing. Well, I can definitely say that you succeeded! The lighting in particular was really nice in pretty much every shot (my favorite was the shot of the policeman). Keep it up!
