Really enjoyed it! The POV shot is incredibly unique and unseen in brickfilms, and I loved the slower pace to everything. The punchline made me laugh out laud, great work on this! I would love for more brickfilms to be as unique as this one.

Thanks guys. Glad this is well received. I picked that script because of the twist at the end and becasue it would allow me to try somethign unusual for our hobby. I'm glad it worked.

Point taken on the "dynamic" thing. I really didn't want to detract from the dialogue and I didn't want viewers to get motion sickness. I tried to compensate by being very fussy on the sound effects and background noise. No one commented on the "twitch" I built into the actors from time to time. I'll take that as a good thing. =)

Cheers for the comments. This one was hard work. Glad it paid off.

Haha, that was pretty great. I love the POV perspective, gives the story a really unique spin (though I might have liked some visual effects work to make his vision seem a bit more strained, like some blinks or moments of blurred vision), and the twist gave me a good chuckle.

Nice work, one of more unique storytelling experiments I've seen in a while.

I remember seeing a still from that POV shot in the "Frame from Your Upcoming Film" thread, but it's even cooler seeing it animated. Also, I figured it was going to just be a quick shot in the final movie, but it was quite the opposite. Really nice work!

Not sure how other films released this week managed to get brick ratings. If there is a trick then please share. :)
You have to submit to the directory to get the rating feature. If you want, you can submit your film and choose not to create a thread, then edit your first post with a link to the directory. It won't show the rating directly on the post, but people will be able to go to the directory page and rate it.
Sure, what i mean is that the film database is broken and submission fails but some films submitted this week still get brick ratings. Any hoo....

Glad you like the flick. A first of this kind for me. I was going for refreshing originality. :)

Great short. The punchline really got me. The POV shot was a strong creative choice and I think it worked out well. My one suggestion would be that it might have benefited from more head movement to make the shot a little bit more dynamic, but I can understand why that might have been difficult to film.

Hah, this was a great short. It reminded me of the classic Tough Questions by Buxton. The ceiling view was very original and worked great, but I think it could have been a bit shakier to show that it was moving. Oh well, I imagine that shot was difficult enough already! The joke worked well, too.

Check out my very first ever 92 second long shot. Also the first time I've tried a POV camera angle.

For behind the camera shots of my set:

There are two bits of animation I wish I'd done better, but I was fast running out of patience on this one so I just lived with it. Happy to hear your thoughts. :)
