No you're not mistaken, I copy/pasted that from the main post we're still writing which has an FAQ and didn't catch that it referenced the FAQ, my bad.

The "cameo" is like an easter egg. Basically, we'll make a minifigure that either looks like you or looks how you want it to look, and hide it in the film somewhere. It'll be visible but not prominently featured. After the film is done we'll ship the minifigure to you with a little signed certificate for display purposes.

The limitations applicable are that we're not going to include minifigs that are somehow offensive sexually or whatever, or use very expensive, rare parts that we'll have a hard time obtaining.

Hi. Now that I am considering making a contribution, I have new questions. There was information on donating at the $100 level, as "the cameo". Is the Lego avatar in the movie being interviewed and discussing brickfilming? What happens to a character in the cameo?

I also was looking for the FAQ for restrictions, but don't know where to find it. I did a search of the page and only saw the one instance of FAQ. So sorry that I'm really dumb on the FAQ; I bet I'm missing something obvious. I just wanted the most information before I make a decision, as the higher tier will require me to budget and take some time. THANKS EVERYONE!
I suppose I'm rather late in saying this (been on holiday, laptop died) but this looks amazing, I'm really glad to see a documentary happening. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll be able to contribute anything as I intend to save up my money to buy a DSLR (so I can make better brickfilms, ironically). But the "animator" tier certainly sounds intriguing, I might be able to contribute to that. I'll have to see. (Although I'm not sure I've made enough brickfilms on a regular basis to merit a highlight on my work XD ).
The actual posting of the blog entries will begin in January (after we're not so occupied with getting the documentary filmed), so you would have time after pledging to create something worthy of the front page! :)
