Yeah, I was aware of that (I read an article somewhere about the whole "orange and teal" fad, if it can be called that). Still, it looks really bad, especially considering that that particular image has no teal in it, making the orange look glaringly obvious.
The funny thing is how he is a proponent of shooting on film, then destroys the colors with post-production color changes like this.
What? Michael Bay, of all people, advocates shooting on film? He's the last person I'd expect who would do that. Ironic, given how much he uses digital effects.

Now, I haven't seen this movie, so take this with not a grain, but a chunk of salt. I'm a big fan of occasional mindless entertainment, I enjoy an action movie every once and a while, or a stupid comedy; but I hate being advertised to when I've already paid for the media I'm ingesting. The last thing I want to see when I've already paid $12 to see a movie is tons of blatant advertising filling up the screen, it's borderline offensive, and one of the main reason I don't watch these movies.
Then……don't watch them. Nobody is forcing you to watch said movie.
Use your 'voice' with your money and go spend it on some other movie or something else altogether.

By the way, if there's a movie that you think has a chance of being not-so-great…
No one said that you had to pay for it either.
There are ways to watch movies in the theater for free. (Yes, legally.)
Local television stations and radio stations will sometimes give away free movie tickets.
Not to mention, movie companies that are unsure about a film will have test screenings.
Various other companies have sneak previews of films before they are released.

Do some research online and look for this.^
Movies are cool, but free movies are even better.

I don't think it's really fair to compare a live action film to an animated television series.
I mean we can't really expect a shot for shot recreation of the pilot episode in live action, now can we?
People want to see their favorite characters outside of the animated series out in the real world....
And, they want to be entertained for a couple of hours....nothing more, nothing less.

Sometimes, people want to watch a good movie. So...they'll go watch *insert name of classic movie here*.
But there are times when people just want to watch mindless fantasy just to get away from real life for a short while.
That said, I don't take Michael Bay's films too seriously. They're just entertainment.
A number of Bay's films are the film equivalent to junk food on a weekend.
Granted, both are not very good for you, but dang, both are so enjoyable in small amounts and in moderation.

I don't know if everybody sees movies that way. At the least, it's complicated. As a Star Trek fan, I have a lot of problems with the JJ Abrams Star Trek films because he took a franchise that was this great, unique kind of storytelling and changed it into something big, dumb, loud, and missing everything that made Star Trek unique and interesting. But I think they're pretty good filmmaking in a sci-fi action-adventure film sort of way. As big, dumb, loud movies go.

Transformers 1 is a perfectly acceptable mindless action film. Transformers 2 and 3 are two of the most offensively bad movies ever made, as far as I'm concerned.

Transformers 4 is awful, no doubt about that, but in a different league than the previous two. It is so fascinatingly inept and has such a lack of any pretense of trying to be something better than it actually is that it becomes absolutely hilarious and somehow even watchable. The first time I saw Age of Extinction, I had to see it again the following night and the night after that; it's some of the most fun I've ever had at making fun of a movie while watching it.

That said, Stanley Tucci manages to turn in a surprisingly great performance in spite of how ridiculous and over-the-top his role was written; it's the only genuinely positive thing I can say about the film as a whole.
