Thanks all, glad ya'll liked it!

@Redbrick, yep, all filled. Thanks though.

@Mighty, So...you're saying it's a bit plain and boring? The real thing has a bit more to the sets, better lighting and much better camera angles. Hopefully you'll like it more. Also, the more critique the better!

@Flying, I wonder it that was amplified since this was my first attempt at a stereo sound design. And yeah, I liked the idea of no music, but was hoping the static would work as the ambient sound. I'll be sure to fix that in the release.
(It will also have music going, so that should help.) Thanks for mentioning it!

@Antonio, It was Pete Walsh. Check the Youtube description for a link to his channel. ;)

Ooh wow, looking forward to this. I love the opening POV shot of the technician looking into the Black Box. And it's cool to see the 9th Doctor--and the voice acting is spot on. I'm very impressed.

However, there's something about the audio/sound mixing to me that just seems a bit odd. I can't quite place it, but the sounds feel too sharp and clean, as if they're a bunch of separate sounds stuck together rather than continuous noise from the same environment, if that makes sense. I think it might be because there's no background ambience (perhaps try putting in a faint hum or sci-fi background noise, seeing as it's a spaceship) so the sounds feel like they stick out unnaturally. Sorry if this isn't very helpful, it's a bit difficult to describe.

Looks great, I'm excited to see the film! Kudos to the guy who does the Ninth Doctor's voice, he does a great impression. ;)

I know this is just a trailer, but it kind of threw me how quickly those first two shots from the technician's camera were. It didn't give me enough time to soak in the scene (which, to be honest, was a bit bleak for a spaceship [think of most of the DW episodes - the ships were mostly well-furnished, if not just designs/pipes/etc. on the walls]). I hope this isn't overkill for just a trailer, but that's my critique. :shifty:

Haha. I'm guessing this was not intentional (or was it?), but I got a kick out of it while reading through.

Prequel: Secrets in the Shadows

Youtube

A cargo ship mysteriously went offline and crashed into a local star, apparently incinerating everyone inside. Now, a lonely technician has wired up the home box in an attempt to find the cause, but he soon discovers that it may not have been as accidental as previously thought...

Also, I put Fall 2014, but it'll be done before then, maybe even in a few weeks. Who knows.
And it's a prequel in the sense of some of the Doctor Who ones, it may not happen before hand, but it sets up the events and whets the audiences appetite.
