Anything by The Beatles. (Or other classic rock/oldies bands) That music tends to fit the mood of whatever I'm animating, without getting to distracting. (I.e., If I'm filming an emotional scene, and the Benny Hills theme is playing, the animation might turn out wrong.)

Also, another band that I've found to work perfectly to animating is AC/DC. Their music is so loud, and "raw," that when you crank it up, it actually drones out most of the rest of the world, and makes it much easier to animate as well.

Aside from those selections, I also like to listen to either the Minecraft soundtrack, or some other orchestral music. (Specifically James Newton Howard's Dinosaur, Atlantis the Lost Empire, and Treasure Planet scores.)

Though, personally, I've got all of those on CD, and on my computers. But, I just thought it would be beneficial to share those. :)

Yeah, there are some songs that people mentioned that I really would never listen to, but I just didn't say anything because someone else might read it and say, "yeah! I want to listen to that!"

Example: someone on here posted Pop Will Eat Itself, which is a band many people will listen to and dislike immediately, because they are pretty strange. But it inspired me to post some other PWEI songs that I thought would work, for the right people. We can take the playlist suggestions and fine-tune it to our tastes, but readers might see someting unfamiliar and try something new, and be pleasantly surprised.

Oh, and JAYEM, is "The Songs Of Distant Earth" named after the Arthur C. Clarke novel of the same name?

I don't really support this thread (Don't take it the wrong way) But the problem with it is it's mixed with all different types of Genres from all different cultures and backgrounds and some people may really dislike or be offended of any of these genres; ROCK, METAL, HEAVY METAL, COUNTRY, RAP, RNB or may only like one or two of all them for this reason why would people listen to music they would just really dislike? Wouldn't that cause De-motivation?

Once again don't look at this the wrong way, but in all honesty it's a legitimate point.

Sincerely,
Divine.

Maybe there could be a separate playlist for music with lyrics, because I mostly just listen to the music I normally listen to while I animate.

I got a few:

Sweetest Kill - Broken Social Scene
Wake Up - Arcade Fire
We Exist - Arcade Fire
Here Comes The Night Time - Arcade Fire
The Suburbs - Arcade Fire
Empty Room - Arcade Fire
Twilight Galaxy - Metric
Front Row - Metric
Help I'm Alive - Metric
Black Sheep - Metric
Bambi - Tokyo Police Club
Graves - Tokyo Police Club
Light For The Deadvine - People In Planes
Pretty Buildings - People In Planes
If You Talk Too Much My Head Will Explode - People In Planes
Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin / Immigrant Song - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack
Road To Nowhere - Talking Heads
Don't Bring Me Down - ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)
Praise You - Fatboy Slim
Needing/Getting - OK Go
This Too Shall Pass - OK Go
Here It Goes Again - OK Go

And I have more, but that would be quite a lot.

EDIT: Nevermind, I removed the song(s) with bad language. At least the one(s) that I know for sure contain(s) language. I don't know for sure about all of them.

I'm with jampot on preferring music without lyrics.

If you're looking for something a bit different, I'd recommend some of Mike Oldfield's music. He's done a lot besides- and better than- Tubular Bells. I'd recommend Ommadawn or The Songs Of Distant Earth. Great, brilliantly complex music there, though it might not be to everyone's taste!

It looks like only 200 videos can be added to a playlist, so I might make multiple playlists. One fore each night of the week :)
