Just watched it. It was...somewhat entertaining. To be honest, the Simpsons in general hasn't been that good in recent years. They should have ended it after the movie. The movie was great, but BAM the series after that stopped being funny. Old School Simpsons was amazing.

Personally, I thought it was a pretty entertaining episode. The jokes were hit and miss, but nothing especially awful- and a few gags were great (the sermonizing in particular). Animation was decent as (or perhaps better than) would be expected of a television budget. If The Simpsons must have a LEGO episode, I'm glad it was this one.

With the release of the brand new Simpsons LEGO sets, they have also released a LEGO episode in the currently running, newest, 25th season. The whole episode is up on Fox's website, although I think this site might only be available in the US.

While the writing on the show has already worsened some time ago, this is still an enjoyable episode, and it has some great references. The animation is similar to Stop-Motion, like The LEGO Movie, so it's quite neat. I do have to say though that I personally dislike that whole sharp, clean, shinning clarity of the actual LEGO in the episode; it feels a bit eccentric, and unlike actual LEGO.

the emptiness of my being soars in the vastness of crumbling reality around me

the sounds of a distant horrifying mumbling haunt the core of my soul

the voice of terror unimaginable seems to get increasingly louder, albeit quiet still, with every millisecond that goes by

the darkness encompasses me as i try to scream in agony, but no sound protrudes from me

i try to look around but there is nothing to look at, i am encased in darkness

there is nothing to hold on to, i am completely trapped in this vast darkness

i frantically look around to see if anything there for me to look at. anything. this darkness is becoming one with me, i need to view at least something. something to ease the pain

i continue to look around

i stop looking. i found something. a yellow speck.

the speck starts to get closer, i am comforted to finally see another object in the horizon

it gets closer and closer still

but no, it is not an object of comfort. it is the demonic being that took me here

i realize that the object is the one making the distant sound. i start to understand more and more as he gets closer and closer

the words this yellow monstrosity is saying become clearer and clearer

"kiss my flat plastic butt, reality"

"kiss my flat plastic butt, reality"

"kiss my flat plastic butt, reality"

[h]"KISS MY FLAT PLASTIC BUTT, REALITY"[/h]

[h]"KISS MY FLAT PLASTIC BUTT, REALITY"[/h]
