I once sent a demo to alternative Tentacles records, and was informed by a rep there that AT's corporate CEO Jello Biafra (of the Dead Kennedys)personally contacts each sumittee. It's been 7 years and still my phone hasn't rang. I guess there's an exception for him if one of the songs has bold ideas that may be a challenge to his band's point of view.

I think you two would hit it off quite nicely. But, if you're looking for a member of my family who's really into alternative punk rock, you should talk to my Uncle Stan about that. He's written some tracks himself, and I think he also worked in the industry a little bit, too.

This. This is a musical masterpiece. This is the future, people.

On a more serious note, although this isn't specifically for music videos, I really want to see more Classical music in Brickfilms. They make great soundtracks, there's a huge variety of pieces and styles, and, best of all, nearly all are royalty-free, and it'd make a nice change from Incompetech. A lot of people seem to think that Classical music is boring (which it isn't) which is a shame because there are so many good pieces out there. Basically, I want to see more stuff along the lines of this done in brickfilms.

My dad was actually saying, a few weeks ago, that it would be cool if I were to make a LEGO music video off of one of Kraftwerk's other songs, "The Robots". I guess, it could be done. I would just have to film, animate, and edit nine straight minutes of LEGO robots dancing. Plus, I don't have enough money to order a bunch of LEGO robots off of Bricklink or something. Again, it could be done...
I recorded some Kraftwerk remixes in the late 1990s, and built the band as LEGO in front of a factory for the cover. I still have that somewhere if I can dig it up. Also, in "Holding Our Own", KRaftwerk is Brent's favorite band, and it is an important part of the plot to episode 4. And you'd only need 4 robots off Bricklink. I have to meet your dad. "The Model" is one of my favorites by KW and would make a good video. it's also a lot shorter, 3 minutes instead of the robots' 6 to 8 (depending on the version).

You could just find a bunch of minifigures that all look the same. It doesn't have to be dancing, it could be the minifigures walking in a straight line across various locations, or even the minifigures being assembled by machines. I've always seen 'The Robots' as a metaphor for both musicians (the inspiration came when Krafterk, known for their static performance style, were accused of being robots - so they literally turned themselves into robots as a statement) and society as a whole.

Kraftwerk are just so awesomely dated. I love science fiction that predicts the merging of man and machine but doesn't predict flatscreen monitors. You could have so much fun visualising them.
