			<content type="html"><![CDATA[Honestly, other than a few decent USB mics that can be had on the cheap, your best bet is getting a budget interface and a phantom powered condenser.  The MXL 990 and the Audio Technica 2020 are good mics at very cheap prices.]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[I too use a blue snowball now, and will be a solid advocate for its value. Good clean audio for a relatively low price. Definitely good a good choice for amateurs like most of us.]]></content>

It's also about $10 less and makes a good mic.]]></content>

Worth the price.

(I also have this mic that I stole from the Rossetta Stone langue program my school sent me, cheap mics work fine too I guess).

There is a significant "fuzzy" sound in the background. What kind of microphone do you all use? How much do these better quality items cost?]]></content>
