And yeah, the export settings are just different than the capture settings. I'll be looking at that this evening.
I bet that's the underling problem, but we'll see later.

And no problem. I don't mind helping at all. ;)

EDIT:
OK, I've got the demo of the Windows version, and it's not letting me adjust the camera settings at all. There's not an option for adjusting the quality, or one for fixing lighting. There's no wide-screen/full-screen switch, and I'm just not impressed.

I know the full version fixes some of those problems, but it still stands that the thing is not made for high-quality animation work. Nowhere on the site does it say that the full version is capable of HD, and I'm guessing that the program is your problem.

My advice: You've got iStopmotion right? Play around in the settings menu and see what you can find. Try "Preferences" "Camera settings" or something similar. It's more than capable of filming in HD, so if you can, set the res at something ridiculously high and check out the results. If nothing else, it can film in wide-screen, which is more that you have now. It looks pretty good as far as animation software goes, and it's got some nice features.

Final Advice: Try comparing shots with Logitech software as I said above, and just switch over to iStopMotion.
I'm afraid I can't help much more, as I don't have a Mac. Sorry.

Yes, I shoot on full screen, then when it exports, the black bars appear vertically. Sadly, my camera didn't come with Logitech Software, it was only a small bag with the camera. But the thing is, my computer has no CD/DVD Rom drive, so it wouldn't really matter. So thank you for downloading it. Hopefully, a solution can be found.

Have you considered at least testing Helium Frog? That works on Mac right?
Doesn't matter if you hate it, just use it to test the image quality.

I'm confused a bit by the black bars, as they shouldn't be there in a true 1080p image. Were they put in after the image was shot, or were you filming in some odd wide-screen/full-screen setting? (For example, you shot the frames in full-screen, but told it to export in wide-screen.)

I'm sadly not to knowledgeable with those two pieces of software, but have you compared these pictures to ones you've just snapped with the Logitech Webcam software? Snap a few at the same res and see if there is any difference. If not, it may be your camera, if so, then that will confirm your suspicion about the software.

Now, I save in an uncompressed .Avi format, is there something similar in the export settings on those programs?
The compression right off of the bat may be part of the problem, as the video has been compressed and changed several times on it's way to Youtube.

Comparing your shot to one of my pictures, I'm not seeing any major quality difference. Yes, the depth of field on the 910 is locked, and not the greatest at close range, but the figure looks just fine to me. Perhaps a bit of difference, but nothing that couldn't be attributed to a totally different set-up, lighting and shot.

If we're talking about just the in-focus figure, the only reason things don't look quite as good are the lower quality printing, and lighting/set-up. Also, not every camera will be identical in every way. If we're talking about the rest of the image, it's simply depth-of-field. They're just not in focus, that's all.

And if I'm totally missing something here, just tell me. It's really, really late here.

As for wide-screen, just check all around in the capture settings menu. And if you have to film in something full screen, if the pixel count is high enough, you can just crop off the top and bottom and make it wide-screen 1080p. I'll be downloading SAM tomorrow, (Or would that me later today?) and will be able to help more then.

I know that I've been posting a lot, but I desperately want to get my camera problem fixed. I have a clip right here showing the bad quality of my c910.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leCY7gQgxPo&feature=youtube_gdata_player (It may look decent when you see it in the regular view, but click fullscreen. Bad. Bad. Bad.)

Hopefully some people can give me suggestions. I have it saved in MP4 format, along with H.264 compression. It's also saved in 1920 x 1080 HD. The bitrate is 4,096. I seriously have no more solutions. I tried my camera on iStopMotion, but the results are pretty much the same as SAM Animation. I really don't know what I can buy to solve my problem. I've seen other videos with a c910, and the quality is amazing! I look at mine, and the quality is nothing compared to those. I really, really need solutions.

Extra Question: How do I get widescreen? I absolutely hate the way it is right now.
