Also, guys, I'm making a camera movement tutorial now. :)
I don't know when it will be out. Hopefully sometime next week. I'll need to find a window of silence to record a narration for it.
I'll show a bunch of camera moves from my films, along with some new ones I just animated. I'll also explain how it is all done.

I recently realized that I could turn my crank machine so it points up and use it to evenly angle my camera upwards more smoothly than I've ever been able to do previously.

I guess it could've used some more side-to-side motion, but the in-shot motion blur made it more convincing than his bump.
The next animation challenge should be camera movements. If you win which you probably will that is what you should choose.
"That's a great idea!"

You should do that if you win, Squid.
And from the looks of it, I think you're gonna win.

It looks great methinks. The next animation challenge should be camera movements. If you win which you probably will that is what you should choose.

I completely agree with you on this.
Thanks. :)
Unfortunately, he's not been convinced. He thinks that my bump lacked violence. Oh well.

Unrelated to making this video, I spent a lot of time today trying to make a fresh contraption to gradually tilt the camera very evenly for animation. Kinda like a slow quarter spin.
Unfortunately, I'm having a ridiculous amount of trouble with it, primarily because my camera is a very heavy camera, and it crushes my new device.
Do you use a slider or anything like that to help with those type of shots? I was wondering because I have been trying to use in camera movements instead of using post moves.
My Dolley rig
I used it to create this. I made use of my tripod's movement to get the bump.

It makes animating dolly shots so easy that it's ridiculous. I love it.
I highly recommend using some gears and such to build something similar for your own use.
If you don't have the parts, acquire them.
Every brickfilmer should have one of these.

YouTube link

I tried uploading this several times, however, every time YouTube messed up the audio. I just gave up and uploaded a muted version.

I animated this purely because AquaMorph said that their were some camera moves which were impossible without digital assistance. I accepted his challenge and animated this to prove him wrong.

Say no to post-production camera movement!
