@Chiro Personally, as a text logo I'd have gone with a more chrome look instead of golden. Still looks pretty good though.

While I must agree with those saying it's not technically a "logo", it is more memorable and nice than what a lot of people on these forums have. I don't think it looks terrible, but if you could incorporate some sort of actual logo, it would help your brand significantly. The key is making it memorable. There is no real need for a logo though when you are doing this as a hobby and just for fun. (though a cool logo can make things even more fun :)

I'm not staff, or an admin. I've just been around a while. I do apologise for coming across harshly, perhaps I was feeling a bit out of sorts that day. Smeagol pretty much summed up what I was attempting to convey:
There are incompetent people working in any industry. It's just always a little surprising to see poor work from somebody who's making a living doing it.
I have done multimedia design for years as a job, and continue to do so on a freelance basis whilst studying games design. I would hesitate to call that a logo. It could be called branding, perhaps. Either way, it is not very well done at all. I have perhaps been jaded from this community where multitudes of people would take a photo of a minifig or a brick, slap some bad wordart over the top and call it a logo. Realbrick summed it up:
It's not a logo, it's stylized text on a background.
I stand by what I said about studying design theory. If I was hiring someone for a graphic design role and that was presented as an example of their work, I would not hire them. If graphic design is really an industry he wants to work in, he needs to pick up his game. Smeagol mentioned that he might be more of a web developer than a designer - that makes sense. Without wanting to stereotype, a large portion of developers/programmers I've worked with don't have much of a clue about good design (though thankfully there are exceptions to the rule).
