Even if you did use a Foster The People song (Honestly, I do like "Houdini," though :P ).

Actually, search Google for "Foster The People Houdini Lego" and you get all sorts of goodies.
As for the video, I loved it. Watched it about 10 times. The only thing was the facial animation, that wasn't the prettiest. But the cinematography was excellent, and the animation was astounding. Great work! :DD

I love everything from the animation to the camera movements, to the lighting and set.
Overall, best LEGO music vid I've seen, and I would say it's better than a lot of the actual music videos that I've seen  Kudos to you, and 5/5 from me.

P.S. Also love the music. :)
But all of that to say, this is a pretty incredible achievement, and you should be very proud of this. You may have just solidified yourself as the best animator I currently know on YouTube.
Thanks, MG. *blushes*
Stunning video. The lighting, the animation, the editing, everything. The smoothness of the shots when the people are floating is wonderful. I ended up going back and looking closely at those shots and realized you used cleverly placed technic/bionicle arms in places. Great idea, I'll have to remember that.
Dug my Bionicles out of the attic to get those pieces. Definitely one of my better ideas. I couldn't have done the flying scenes as smoothly/realistically with a normal rig system.
Thank you for blowing my mind.
You are so welcome.
Dude, this was just... wow. I mean, holy crap.

You captured the energy of the song perfectly, the animation was perfect, the masking was perfect, the lighting was perfect, the flow of the film was perfect, this film was just... perfect. The little details like the minifigure flawlessly playing the piano in sync with the music, the way the light bounced off the minifigures, the way you had an event for every highlight on the song. I am truly speechless.

Seriously, this is one of my favorite brickfilms ever.
:D
This is probably the best LEGO music video ever. The lens flares were realistic looking and worked well. It's interesting how parts of this video are similar to the official one, like the stage and the lighting. I really liked how at the end it just kept getting crazier and crazier. The amount of flying was insane.
Yeah, I was going for a "what might have happened if they actually finished that video" approach. I borrowed some elements like the exploding drums and slow motion.
The biggest flaw, as a couple others have said, was the mouth animation. It was animated very well, but it wasn't integrated into the other footage very well. It had a very "pasted on top" look to it. Messing with the blending and stuff would greatly help. It doesn't really detract from the enjoyment of film as a whole (indeed, I like it in there), but still, it could definitely be improved.
Totally agree. The intense lighting made it really challenging. Still, I think the facial animation was effective, only a few of you brickfilmers are gonna care, let alone notice.
I have a question... How did you make the lights? Were they real or photoshopped, I'd like to know because I'd like to try doing that for a video... Also, what sort of apparatus was supporting your camera? One of my favorite aspects was the complex camera movements, they looked so real :)
The lights in the background were real, I just added lens flares for emphasis. A tripod was supporting my camera. And those complex camera movements looked so real because they were real. You can't do those camera movements digitally.
OMG! :o That was amazing. Great camera movements and incredible clean animation. Nicely Done man - 6/5.
We wrote an article about your film on our site - http://wmbf.pl/nowa/?p=1222
Thanks!! I really appreciate it. :)
I saw that in a few parts the singers "clones" have totaly blank faces.
There was one shot in the video where I didn't put in a face because it was from a far side angle where you really wouldn't be able to see it anyway. Thanks for the critique though.
I did notice one small problem in the video on repeat viewings: you appear to have made a video based on a song by Foster the People :/
AAALLLL THE OTHER KIDS WITH THE PUMPED UP KICKS.

Thanks for all the feedback!! It took several hundred hours to complete, but the reactions have made it all worth it!!

I had to watch this a few times just to fully comprehend the epic awesomeness that is throughout this video. Camerawork, lighting, animation, just PERFECT. And you created this atmosphere that totally pumped me up. I haven't been brickfilming much at all recently, and I'm so glad that I was able to stumble across this video today. Watching this makes me want to get back into brickfilming, and I'm thinking I will.

Anyways, on another note I realized that I had never subscribed to you, which is practically a sin. I have fixed this error, and am looking forward to whatever you make next!
