			<content type="html"><![CDATA[I'm having trouble with GIMP as well.  

I'm trying to make a piece of text using a logo, remove all the background so it's just text, and transplant it onto an image.  Sadly, my expertise in photo-editing is far from the greatest, and I'm completely stumped.  What really throws me is the fact that the logo is treated as a separate image.]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[The way I do my logo which has an outline is by creating a text layer, then making it as big as the image, (the layer, not the text) alpha to selection it, grow selection, make a new layer and place it under the original and fill it in with the other color.]]></content>

I tried that, it didn't work.

The only way something like that could work is to copy each individual letter. But then all the outlines might not be on the same level.]]></content>

How do you outline text? I can't figure it out.
The closest thing I found was in Logos, but that makes a shadow as well; I don't want a shadow.
