Tough for me to gauge how much time I've put into it so far. I currently have a somewhat color corrected rough cut of a quarter of the film, about 22 minutes. I started editing it in early January, but I've been busy with other things so it certainly hasn't been nonstop. I haven't done audio for these scenes, though. It's definitely a process that takes weeks or months, though if we'd been more organized when we filmed it might have gone a little faster.

Great job Sméagol! I love the first and last shots especially. You did a great job with the color correction! Furthermore I'm also really in love with the framing of 7. The slight angle really adds something. Shot the sixth maybe could have done with a bit less white on the man's right shoulder, Specifically the top of his right shoulder. It looks like a blob of white, and hides some of the details. The rest looks fine (This is one of the first time I have seen a shot like this were the bald spots don't gleam like a furious sun trying to escape the inner depths of the skull, so good for you!). The second still could maybe use a small boost in the saturation of the gold (but only of the gold) to make it 'pop' if you know what I mean.

A small questions I've always wanted to ask someone who's editing a large film. How long exactly does it take, to do the effects, sound, correction and all that jazz? Is is a couple day process or does it take weeks (taking in account that in this case only one person is doing everything)?

I'm looking forward to seeing more (and the film itself naturally)!

I've edited about a quarter of the film. I'm mostly very pleased with the quality of the results, but editing it has been a cautionary tale in the importance of being more organized and planned out during filming.

Here are some stills from the film. I update the production blog when I've got something substantially new to say about the film's progress.

Topit, it's possible, we definitely have further expenses in post-production. I'll let folks know about the premiere, I don't know where that will be until we have submitted and heard back from festivals, which would be in Fall 2013. SXSW is definitely of interest to me since it's not too far away, though of course Sundance would be the best option if they were to accept it. I'm expecting to submit to the big festivals and then some smaller ones for safety, as it is very hard to get into the big festivals.

Mwrehh, I feel so bad that I didn't remember to donate money to this project... :( I have no idea if moneys would even be any use to you guise anymore now that the deadline passed though.

I was just reading through the blog, and I must say I love the style of the shots! They all have a sort of quirky yet real feel to them... The closest thing I can think of is Nacho Libre.

Seriously I will be there wherever the premiere is. Hopefully. Definitely if it's in Austin, Tx. (This would be perfect for SxSW... hint, hint...) :)

But since he's a thoroughly addicted brony, it's perfectly fine to mention MLP.
The film is in fact a live-action version of one of his brickfilms, so that's probably reference enough to the hobby.
