I will echo on what the others have said; Audacity is a fine audio editor, and I really don't see the need of getting something grander (Unless you're a professional). I also agree with what Lechnology said; it's not about the software, but what you do with the software. Blender is perfect for most CG needs, and as long as you're dedicated to put the time and the effort into it, then you'll most likely get some good results.

Also, I think you should practice some more on CGI before you make the actual film.
well, this video is gonna be almost completly blender, i suppose i could make the effects in there.

its not audacity is bad, i just was wondering if there was a free audio recorder that had more things to tinker with i suppose. Audacity has worked fine, i just wanted something new.

And i still need a video editor, outside of windows movie maker (not just for movies, i make little video game edits, so i would like a new editor)

Plug and play special effects are a pipe dream. You'd still have to get your hands dirty to create certain special effects. The most intuitive software out there is the power of your imagination. Outside of that, you have to make the effort. With that in mind, you have pretty much what you need for free. Beyond that, there'll be people suggesting "get After Effects, get Maya, blah blah oink oink". If you're using Blender, then you can accomplish whatever effects you want for free. You just have to put in the effort.

http://www.blenderguru.com/videos/how-to-create-a-muzzle-flash

There is a list of free software in the forum. If you've already checked on that, then I think there's not much else we can suggest for you.

Okay, i am Starting off with my first biggest movie, I plan for it to span from 10-20 minutes. It is gonna be CGI exclusive, so i don't need stop motion software.

What i need are these things:

Video Editing Software
Audio Recording
Special Effects

I do have audacity, but I wanna step up from that. i do not know why, but i do want something with all the bells and whistles. However, my computer is somewhat slow, but that never stopped me before. So memory isn't much of an issue.

Also, all of these things must be free, i mean completely free, even if it's one cent, i can't get my hands on it. So all free downloads. I know there is a list of software here, but i do not have time to weed through it all, find what works, and etc.

As for special effects, i currently have been using Wax 2.0 and detonation films. But i want something simpler, a click and draw system or similar would be nice, like particle effects, only, i can't get my hands on particle effetcs.
