I've experimented with running a tad bit, and for me it just works to kinda press the minifig down onto the baseplate. This makes his legs at the same relative angle from the ground, and it pushes the ends of his feet against the studs, which adds stability. It is indeed still a problem however, and I'd be interested in hearing how using clay works for you :)

I'm just wanting to make sure I won't have to keep on taking clay on and off the character's foot, as this would slow down animating quite a bit. If I were to leave the clay on the character's feet throughout, as he steps onto a stud completely, the clay would get smashed inside the foot and I'd have to keep on fixing it. Perhaps I'm wanting this too easy though. Haha :) I'll have to run some tests to figure out what the best way to do this is. Thanks for the input!

Oh, I should have specified. The clay goes on the minifig's foot and helps it stand upright on the baseplate. Clay that stays moist is sticky, it works well as an adhesive.
Sorry for not being clear enough.[/quote]

Oh okay that makes a little more sense. I may have to run some tests on this to make sure it doesn't go too slow. If I were to put some clay on the figure's foot would it stay and work for entire shot without having to replace the clay you think? Thanks for the info and no problem!
