Either by selecting it then clicking the arrow when you first open it up, hit the option thingie and select your res. Or you should be able to hit settings and change it from there.
Also, if your computer struggles with 1280x720, it will struggle worse with 8MP
Well, my computer doesn't struggle nearly as much in HeliumFrog, so I think I will stick with HeliumFrog. Also, (like I asked earlier), how do you change the resolution you are filming in in HeliumFrog? When I open it, It says:
Logitech Webcam Pro 9000
Filming in 640x480p
Or something like that.

I wonder if Stop Motion Pro will slow down your computer on a high frame setting.

Well, your computer is about 10 years old, that's old for a computer. If any capture software with high-res frames slows your computer down, then you should get a new computer. It might be expensive to do that, but it'll be worth it being able to capture frames in high-res.

The 8MP on the Quickcam is not it's native resolution, it is interpolated, meaning that the software makes the image bigger by guessing how to fill in gaps. I think that is how it is, correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT:
Okay, I was wrong. I saw that the LWCP9k had 2MP on the Target website, but that was incorrect. On the Logitech website, it says "...snapshots at up to 8 megapixels." Also in the Logitech Webcam Software, I can take picture in Small, Medium, Large, 2 MP, and 8MP. As another point, I figured out that I have been shooting in 240p, and I am now shooting in 480p, and it looks oh, so much better. :3
