I was home schooled until seventh grade. When I was in 6th grade I took a 'Beginning Filmmaking' class at a co-op thingy I was in. The teacher one day showed us this video which to this day I haven't been able to find. It was a brickfilm of the story of Jericho from the Bible. I was like "that looks easy!" so I went home pulled out my little digital camera and started taking pictures of LEGO. I had no idea how to make a brickfilm, so I just slowly taught myself.

It wasn't as easy as it looked...

In 2007 or so I got a lot of Lego it seemed like. I watched a lot of Star Wars films on the Lego Star Wars homepage. I got somewhat inspired. I tried making Stop Motion but I got bored really fast and continued to do puppetry. Yes that is what filmmaking I did before Brickfilming.

In 2010 I watch Fancypants and I made a YouTube channel called BindingBrickStudios (Now just Binding Brick) and I began to make films. Towards the tail end of 2010 I joined this website because I found it while searching THAC 7. I got pretty annoying I remember. I still am a noob, but maybe I write more constructive things. :P

I heard it in my sixth grade class. The teacher mentioned it in one sentence. That's all. But I always thought how fun it sounded, and how I had a ton legos. So I watched some brickfilms on YT 3 years ago, used my mom's camera, and started learning how to animate. However, I didn't learn about BiM until I watched fancypants' thac 8 entry, and saw the link in the description. At that point I had given up on animating because I didn't know how to do much of anything. But BiM brought me back 1.5 years ago. So thanks to everyone who's on here. :)

I started...probably around 2008. I was (and still am) a HUGE LEGO fan but I just kinda ran out of things to build since I had a very limited supply of bricks back then. I was huge into Star Wars and saw xxxFancyPantsxxx Force Unleashed video and Rise of the Empire. After that...I started those animations where you just take a picture with a digital camera and then move the LEGO, hope the camera stays in the same place, etc. Then my mom got me this little beginners animation kit and the rest is history.
