What editing program are you using?
The program may affect the resolution.

For example:
My "We Three Santas" video was filmed in 800X600, but when I edited it and put it on Youtube it became 960X720, and when I exported it at a different time it became 720X480.
(I then got a different editing program. :P)

So how do I film in a higher resolution? I filmed it exactly the same way I filmed my first film - my E.A.S.T.E.R. entry, and that was 480p. But since that, all my films are in 240p (Except for the ones that I exported from Windows Live Movie Maker).

Nice squashed test. But why you still film so low resolution. In YouTube only 240p. 640 x 480 is good for you, I think. It's good for all, if they don't like big resolutions, example in Monkey Jam, it's terrible in highest resolution.
