Actually it's not a fantastic lesson. If you spot an AMAZING deal then sure, go for it, but if you try applying this "I want it, I must get it immediately" rule to everything you're going to end up poor with a lot of things you don't need. As a general rule, it's better to see something you like, then ponder it for a little while. Think about it for a week, two weeks, even a month or two depending on the item and its cost. If after that time you still can't live without it, then go right ahead.

So there I was at my local Walmart by my place on Monday. Low and behold I saw a Lego box that contained 1600 pieces inside of it. I thought "Hey its Lego I will just buy it from the Lego store on Thursday when I go there. So after doing some Christmas shopping at an unofficial Lego store out in Mississauga called lasting Toy, I trekked over to the Lego store at Fairview Mall. I ran into one of the workers who had directed me to Lasting Toy and I asked him if they had any of those 1600 Lego boxes. To my horror he told me that box of 1600 pieces was only exclusive to Walmart. I frowned and asked him why that is and he explained some song and dance to me. I got out of the store and went back to the Walmart by my house and of course they were sold out. I decided well it was my own fault for not buying it when I had the chance right. But today after work I called around and no Walmarts in my region had any. So I called Walmart in Scarborough and the lady told me she thinks she had sold the last one. She checked and low and behold she had one left. She kindly held it for me even though she was not allowed to do so and I now sit here with a box of 1600 Lego blocks. The lesson here is simple never think about it if you want it get it then and there because next time you might not be so lucky.
I am now off to open my box :D
