Well, for the past two days I have been trying to record and it's only recorded a handful of times. I use half size, 30fps, and my hotkey is F9. I'm using it for Minecraft. Any idea?

I've personally used FRAPS for years, never had any trouble. I bought it around 2 years ago and updated it a couple of weeks ago with only improvements and optimkzation. I'm not seeing why you would have troubles with it.

Nonetheless, FRAPS needs a pretty highend computer in order to initialize and work properly. On my i7, it works just fine with around 299 FPS while recording (mind you, that was when I tested Portal 2 on full which is also optimized). But when I tried recording it on my older computer, it would just clog up and close the program (due to lack of RAM).
Also, FRAPS trial can only record for 30 seconds.

But yeah, please post your system specs below. I'd love to help out.

EDIT: When the numbers turn red, that means it's recording.

Hey guys,

I recently downloaded the trial version of FRAPS to see if I liked it or not. Well, I started it and set it up to where I liked it. (30 fps, half size, hot key F9) Anyways, when I started my game and HIT the control button it didn't record. Well, is it not recording, do I need to hold the button, or is it just my PC? I got rid of benchmark and everything as well. Are the numbers supposed to turn red? Also, if someone could tell me how they set up their FRAPS that would be lovely. Thanks!

Eddie :)
