			<content type="html"><![CDATA[In premeire pro I can add a " directional blur" and I can chnage the angle to 90 degrees. I havent used gimp but if you just blur it some how and speed it up it might work. I'll try some tests.

heres a test I tried I couldn't figure out how to get a big cloud of steam but I was able to get some good wisps of steam

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[I would use particles, either from AE, Blender, or some other package.

If you don't have something like that, stock footage might work, but it could be tough.
