It's actually smarter to use JPEG in Helium Frog, so that the JPEG to motion utility is more convenient to use.

As for your quality issue, it's probably something to do with the camera settings. Play around with the gain and exposure levels and set everything to manual. It usually takes a while before a good result is finally achieved.

I don't personally use helium frog, and I never have, but the reason your quality is worse than others with your same camera is most likely a setting inside the program. Try look for something where you can adjust the quality or the compression of the images within the program. often images are compressed or have reduced quality to save space on your hard drive.

So, I have been making my films in Helium Frog with the picture setting on JPEG. Lately, other films seem to have better picture quality than mine and they have the same camera. I can't help but wonder, is it just me?, is it my older software that I got to have white balance?, is it my picture format?, or is it the fact that MonkeyJam is better?

Also, when I put the picture setting on 1270x720 on the window in MonkeyJam the capture window takes up the whole screen. Is this normal and can I fix it? And which capture program has the better quality?

Thanks!
