As most people tend to agree, comedy is the most used. But it does make sense. LEGO does well for comedy, as some have have said. It's not really a bad thing. The bad thing is bad execution, which some people have done. But, on the bright side, at least there are more bad comedies rather than bad serious type stuff. xD Because that is just horrible.

Out of all of my films, I've always had a large element of comedy. But many are still mixed with other genres.
For example: my film "MAILBOX OF DOOM!" was primarily a B-movie style horror monster movie. Which usually is comedy in the first place. xD With a lot of weird funny stuff in it.

Yeah, I've never made a brickfilm that I didn't intend to be comedic, except maybe my 'Bane of the Sith' trailer. Outsiders find all LEGO movies funny, so I think it's better for a brickfilm to be intentionally funny than unintentionally funny.

That said, I don't enjoy most of the humor in "comedy" films on this site.

It would be fun to see more true genre films. Westerns, film noir, period drama, etc.

Yes, you're right. I've always thought Lego goes good with comedy. I would perfer comedy in any meduim of film, actually.

It's not comedy that's overused. It's a certain type of comedy that's called one-joke videos.

The most overused genres are the liscensed theme genres.
In order of most to least overused: Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Spider Man.
