Mmm... I'm probably not the best for Western names...
I had a Western styled bad guy in How to Not Rob a Bank, his name is Gohgzvoqsterwazootuli. I don't think you'd like a name like that. xD

I'd suggest taking some name which doesn't really sound extremely cool on its own, but add in a nickname with it.

Like "Stinky Clive" Or "Clive the Bull"

Okay, those are very bad bad examples, but you could come up with some cool names with that.

I particularly liked the name of the bad guy in Rango "Rattlesnake Jake" Which isn't exactly a nickname since he is a rattle snake, but it sounds like one. xD

Now I need to make an outline if anyone with a history of making good stories could talk to me that would help. I work better when I talk it over with people. Also I will get Shanghai Noon, watch the Long Ranger (17 hours of it) and Cheyenne.

I've never actually seen a "proper" Western film before. He he
Only things I have seen are things like Back to the Future Part 3, Rango, and random scenes from other movies and TV shows which play on it.
I'm probably not the best to ask. xD
(BTW Rango is an amazing movie, seriously.)

Though, I do have an idea for a Western brickfilm that I may make eventually called "Italian Standoff: a LEGO Spaghetti Western" which is basically filled with parody and really random weird humor.
Regardless of that, I still want it to have a good Western story, so I'm sort of wondering the same thing. xD

I'm defiantly going to watch some movies. I still need to learn the basic concept of westerns. Then I can begin to form a screenplay. I already have an idea that I could add Native Americans in this. They could have a big role in the plot, although I don't want to fall into any plot holes. Today I'm busy in the Twin Cities so maybe on Monday I can drop by my library and see if they have anything. (My local Mr. Movies is dead. :( )

EDIT: Golden, surely you don't mean this:
