BG is right, create a picture with a photo editing program, gimp is free, you can google it, don't use windows paint though, because the background needs to be transparent, and I don't think paint supports that. Then you will have to import that image into your video editing program, which needs to support multiple layers of video. If it doesn't, like in windows movie maker, then you won't be able to do it. Just put the image over top the video you want it to be on, and change the image for every time it needs to change.
Google is your friend.
This might just be me, but wasn't there a big discussion here not too long ago about how telling people to just "use Google" or "LMGTFY" is fairly rude and not any better than just spamming or insulting others? If you're going to type a reply, take the time to actually do the Google search yourself and see what comes up. For example, when I tried a Google search I found practically no decent results at the top.

You could probably just create several different health bar images in Gimp (empty, full, and everywhere in between that you're going to use) and overlay those in Sony Vegas.

Hello people. :D I need to know how to incorporate a health bar into my videos. (You know, the kind that you see in some online games, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter.....that kind of stuff). I really want to know so that I can use it in my videos and......well that's about it.
I REALLY NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE ONE.
The software that I have available is MS Paint, Gimp 2.0, and Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10!

PLEASE HELP!
