Post your animation test or work in progress clip here and get some feedback.

In the same fashion as the Frame from Your Upcoming Film thread, some guidelines:

Thoughtful critiques are encouraged, personal attacks are discouraged. And don't take the critiques too personal, they're meant to help you.[/*]

Minimum 2 feedbacks per clip, so wait your turn.[/*]

Test or WIP clips only. Completed works go in the Release Forum. So let's say nothing longer than 1 min in duration.[/*]

Don't make us download a 1 GB 5 second video. Compress your clip or upload to YouTube or Vimeo.[/*]

Preview image allowed. It encourages us to view it.[/*]

Mods/Admins: Revise rules as needed.

I'll start with an old clip:

The most frustrating part is the middle section where mini figure does not stand on either of studs - instead of trying it to balance between. Any tips or best practices for the middle section?

I was cleaning out files and stumbled upon another Clone Wars test animation from around 2014. Actually I found several old clone wars animations(!) and I'll be posting them soon as tests because I don't plan on finishing any of them (none are in HD nor have many digital effects). I previously had a very large Attack of the Clones collection (original 2002-2003) so I stayed with that older look in this film with the designs. I had just started college at the time I made this and was feeling nostalgic

It's been a while!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQY_2ZGGb2M

I got curious and did a quick test yesterday, with a walk cycle, some passive movements, and a vertigo camera shot to help me figure out what focal length I'd prefer to use. Definitely like the wider end of the lens for this, but too wide and it feels a little too impossible.

I see a bunch of problems already:
- Low sample rate makes the entire scene flicker because of the de-noising (an issue I've had on other rendered projects)
- The face isn't positioned correctly on the head (I think I can fix that)
- The 'damaged' texture on the head doesn't turn with the rig! (Might be able to fix that)

Overall, not too bad. I didn't think I'd ever animate with bricks again, my hands don't really do the fine motor movements of stop motion that well. But getting to animate in Blender was quite a treat!
