Director's Comments

Storyline Buildup is a brickfilm I made for THAC III. (That is, the third edition of the Twenty-four Hours Animation Contest.) So, it was made in under 24 hours. In fact, if I recall correctly, from the start to the end I spent exactly twelve hours on the making on this film.

Storyline Buildup is a prequel to my other film, Onorno. You might want to check that out first.

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Watch BertL's "Onorno" first or you're going to be completely lost. You may be lost anyway, as this film takes a rather odd look at how "Onorno" may have come to pass. There's plenty of laughs here, especially once the director completely gives up trying to hide the mod element about midway through the film. But comparing this film to its predecessor doesn't quite seem right, as the jovial social commentary of "Onorno" is nowhere to be found. It's a fun film, well worth a look and a classic in its own right, but those hoping for another sneakily meaningful THAC film will be disappointed that BertL left the soapbox at home this time around.
