Daniil Kharms - Falling old ladies
"Falling old ladies" is the most famous work from the cycle of absurd miniatures by Daniil Kharms "Cases".
Written in 1936-1937, this miniature refers to the eternal questions of the cyclical nature of life and death, the concept of a metaphysical observer.
Great fun, I love the humorous tone for such a dark subject. The 2nd lady was my favorite, with the hat falling and the window shutter bending.
