Being a Mindgame film, it goes without saying that Stranger than Fishin' will have amazing animation, solid technical work, and probably some humor involving an awkward pause. Despite these sky-high expectations, the film still manages to impress in its own right. Beyond being simply a technical showcase for some of the most lifelike and fluid animation ever crafted in a Brickfilm, it's well-paced and humorous, with an especially droll cameo from SpasticChuwawa. What minor faults the film has are negligible in the face of such brilliance. If you don't enjoy Stranger than Fishin', it's hard to imagine you can enjoy Brickfilms at all.
